ALYA is a Darkwave / Shoegaze / Folk Noir act from Italian-based musicians and producers Mind Warp (Vocals/Lyrics) and LDA (Instrumentation). The band’s debut single titled “Tomorrow Tonight”, along with a companion video, will be available through Crunch Pod on the 6th of May.
By now there’s no question that Italian post-punk and darkwave is in a class all on it’s own. Perhaps there’s something in their fabulous wines, or perhaps the “territorio italiano” breeds a special form of passion that translates to unique and remarkable musical expressions of sounds caught somewhere in the 80’s and yet progressive in its scope. It’s from that enigmatic state of consciousness that ALYA offers attentive listeners their distinctive blend of sound and poetic stylizations. Ethereal instrumentation, distanced dream folk vocals wrapped in an elegant hazy synthesized soundscape. A journey somewhere between & beyond Death in June, Slowdive and This Mortal Coil.
