Love the ferocity and anger over the climate crisis and destruction of our planet. Musically and sample wise, such a strong collection.
Favorite track: MASS EXTINCTION EVENT.

Societal collapse induced by climate change is now inevitable. Effects that scientists had long predicted would result from global climate change are appearing now. Some changes (such as droughts, wildfires, and extreme rainfall) are happening faster than scientists previously predicted.
According to the United Nations, an annual average of 21.5 million people have been forcibly displaced by weather-related events – such as floods, storms, wildfires and extreme temperatures – since 2008.
A “biological annihilation” of wildlife in recent decades means a sixth mass extinction in Earth’s history is under way and is more severe than previously feared. Around 1 million animal and plant species are now threatened with extinction, One in five species on Earth now faces extinction (including humans), and that will rise to 50% By 2100, many within decades, more than ever before in human history.
In the next 30 years, food supply and food security will be severely threatened if little or no action is taken to address climate change and the food system's vulnerability to climate change. 2022 saw a rapid increase in food prices and shortages of food supplies around the world. The question is no longer whether or not food shortages are coming; it is now mainstream news that shortages are already here. With the global population expected to reach 9.8 billion, shortages of water, land, and energy combined with the increased demand from population and economic growth, will create a global food shortage around 2050.
The prospect of a nuclear war is now closer than ever before. Threats of nuclear war are ramping up between Russia, Ukraine and the USA. In June 2020, North Korea has stated that a nuclear attack is the only option left. A Full-Blown India-Pakistan War Remains 'High On Cards' Than US-Russia Nuclear Showdown as tensions remain very high. On July 2021 China threatened Japan with nuclear war if it defends Taiwan. And last month A Russian lawmaker threatened Britain and Germany with nuclear strikes on Russian state TV. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has announced that the Doomsday Clock shall remain unchanged at 100 seconds to midnight in 2022. The closer we are to midnight – AKA "doomsday" – the closer we are to catastrophe for humanity.

“It requires some courage to break a taboo [around the high likelihood of climate-induced collapse, as opposed to mere climate disruption]. It requires some courage to make people aware of darkness that they had not seen before or had turned away from. Especially when that darkness is not in the changing climate and the institutions that have damaged our world, but is also within us. Because we have all participated in both the creation of this disaster and the ignoring of it. Or being satisfied with ineffectual action that provided us with a believable myth of being a good person. As such, climate chaos is an invitation to go deeper into self-reflection and learn about why we have participated in such destruction. From that inquiry we may find ways of living that avoid making matters worse. Bringing attention to the darkness around us, ahead of us and inside of us is essential if we are then to light candles of wisdom. People who are bringing attention to the darkness are also lighting candles of wisdom. Candles only shine within darkness. As more candles are lit, so we can see each other anew. We can connect with what is burning inside our hearts and live from that truth more fully than before.”
