about

Crunch Pod proudly presents the new album from Lapsed titled “Devouring Vestiges”. Masterfully blending rhythmic IDM glitch sensibilities with profound industrialized dark ambient tones and soundscapes. The album beautifully connects worlds of both brooding desolation and shimmering melancholia with concise and colorful flashing textures of varying rhythms.

Devouring Vestiges features sound design and production from Christopher Burnett (known for his work in Larvae). Originally intended as a new collaborative project, sketches were formed and eventually abandoned. Stevens (INFELIX, gotog, SotR) took the remnants and constructed these tracks, assimilating Burnett's sounds into his world.

Built on influences of industrial, IDM, and electronic artists of the ’80s and ’90s, Jason M. Stevens found himself exploring his own glitch, IDM/illbient sounds in 1998.
