Los Angeles avant-garde Darkwave / EBM project Mellow Code returns with a new 4 track ep, titled “Yells at the Obelisk”. After crafting these new tracks for over a year, Mellow Code offers the listener a new take by blending hypnotic mechanical rhythms with glittering FM synthesis and new wave vocals.

This is the first release in several years by Mellow Code without any studio collaborators. “Yells at the Obelisk” features the track “Blink My Dead Eyes”, which has become a fan favorite from his various live-streamed show performances. The track “Wasser Läuft rückwärts” was written in German partly from Mellow Code’s interest in performing in Berlin once music venues are open again.

There are several music videos currently in the works for most if not all of the songs on the e.p. and some previews can be seen on the upcoming Mellow Code featured performance for “DIE IN THE DISCO FESTIVAL” to be broadcast on the Yami Spechie YouTube Channel on March 27, 2021.
