Crunch Pod proudly presents the incredibly talented project LAPSED, with a special re-issue of their phenomenal album “Speculative Annihilation”. Written produced and conceived by mastermind producer Jason M. Stevens in relative isolation during March-August 2020 while the world fell apart. Elegantly weaving IDM, post-industrial rhythms and dark melodic ambient soundscapes with minimal glitch percussion, into engaging movements of rich enveloping atmospheres. “Speculative Annihilation” re-issue features a special bonus track and remixes from Manufactura, nonnon and Thlaaflaa.
Built on influences of industrial, IDM, and electronic artists of the ’80s and ’90s, Jason M. Stevens found himself exploring his own cut-up, IDM/illbient sounds in 1998. In 2002, Lapsed was born as an experimental electronic act and released 3 critically acclaimed albums through the Berlin based Ad Noiseam Label.
