Wasn't sure what to expect from this collaboration and other than "LEATHER OFFENSIVE" it was wildly different than what I could have imagined. Starts off almost Tangerine Dream/Vangellis'ish and several of the songs are much more melodic than I would have expected. Don't mind have my preconceived notions challenged so that's not a bad thing!
Favorite track: LEATHER OFFENSIVE.

Crunch Pod™ presents “Couture Iniquities”, the debut E.P. from TORN KIMONO.
TORN KIMONO is the collaborative project of Los Angeles based industrial techno, rhythmic noise, IDM, experimental dub musicians and producers, Theo Harper & Karloz.M. Long time studio & stage colleagues and collaborators Theo Harper and Karloz.M merge their multiple sound design and genre production explorations into their debut E.P. titled “Couture Iniquities” and the collective music project called TORN KIMONO.
Theo Harper (Theodore The Blacksmith / PMR / Victo Ecret / Rekahoe / W.A.S.T.E.), a pivotal figure in the Los Angeles industrial underground whose influence through his various projects as well as his productions as a founding member of the Rhythmic Industrial Noise project W.A.S.T.E., and long time live member of MANUFACTURA ignited the charge of the north American Power Noise movement and the rhythmic industrial movement in Los Angeles.
Karloz.M (Manufactura / Dreamscape Invocation / Stranger Dreams / Broken Fabiola) has been behind some of the most creative, influential, controversial, admired and despised, intense, in your face, violent, maniacal, twisted and ambient contemplative genre-pushing explorations of power noise, ranging from the straightforward club-killers, to gritty and atmospheric moods, to lyrically-driven EBM crossovers for over 20 years.
