Crunch Pod is proud to present the second full length studio album of define.human: 'American Listening Exercises'

Exemplary of define'human's interest in listening forms, this release intercedes modes of isolation in pre-COVID-19 American urban lifestyles through renditions of language rituals, political tribalism, and calculated diversion. 'American Listening Exercises' packages these ideas through resonant droning synths, thunderous sub bass, and dynamic rhythm formations. This anthology of noise-inspired dance music brims with structures of impulsive verbal exchange models common to the American lexicon and conflates them with abstracted iterations of perpetuation by a political body that profits from interruption and dispute. By pairing these concepts with pleasing tonality, the listener is pulled in two directions between melodic pleasure and disruption, much as Americans are pulled apart by the disparity between connectivity and commodified division.
